«Our clinic has designed a program quite new to general medical practice. It’s called ‘Men over 40’ and is designed to assess all the different basic factors which may lead at this time to aging and impotence.

Big hormonal changes take place in a man’s body as he reaches the age of 40. His essential levels of testosterone tend to change gradually into the female hormone estradiol. In the clinic we have everything you need to help a man cope with the changes that age can bring. Everything just depends on a man’s desire and his strength of character.».

If a blood analysis shows an insufficient level of testosterone it may have come about for several reasons:

  • Raised blood pressure leads to the production of hormones which are antagonists to testosterone.
  • An excess of aromatase enzymes which accumulate in the living tissue of the abdomen and change free testosterone to the female hormone estradiol.
  • An insufficiency of zinc, which leads to an increase in the amount of aromatase in living tissue.
  • Overweight, obesity, in as much as aromatase accumulates in the extra tissue and leads to the changing of testosterone to estradiol. It is very important that men who are overweight should check their levels of testosterone frequently.
  • Chronic inflammatory processes in the prostate gland may leads to venous stasis in the pelvic area, a lowering of the microcirculation and a drop in potency.
  • Liver dysfunction may lead to an inadequate exchange of estradiol and globulin (SHBG), which will lead in turn to a dropping of the level of free testosterone.
  • Stress factors which lead to an increase in the production of cortisol are also antagonists to testosterone. Men after 40 tend generally to have a higher level of cortisol which may lead to illnesses, directly or indirectly resulting from drop in the level of testosterone, such as a heart attack, osteoporosis and so on.

The changing of free testosterone into estradiol can be seen in the way a man looks. He gains fat around his stomach area, gets flabby and loses muscle tone. The hormonal imbalance is also noticeable in his psychological and emotional condition. He is likely to develop anxiety, chronic tiredness, become irritable, lose interest in things around him and become emotionally unstable. And of course one of the most serious symptoms of this hormonal imbalance can be a drop in potency. Free testosterone acts on the brain cells as a stimulant. The level of free testosterone in the body drops with age. This means that the impulse to the brain to create sexual desire also drops and potency falls.

But testosterone is not just a sex hormone. The receptors for testosterone are all over the body. Testosterone is responsible for supporting protein synthesis in all muscle fibers, including the heart muscle, enabling the coronary arteries to widen, maintaining an optimal level of cholesterol and improving the take up of oxygen.

Low levels of testosterone in the blood serve as a danger signal to the onset of cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, hypertension and heart attacks. The condition of the heart muscles is looked at in the ‘Men over 40’ program with traditional ECG equipment as well as with the new highly accurate methodology of the cardiovisor.

It is has been proven that a significant amount of estradiol in a man’s body leads to a growth in epithelial cells in the prostate which at the end of the day may lead to the development of an adenoma or cancer of the prostate gland. To catch the development of a carcinoma of the prostate at an early stage the program, ‘Men over 40’ checks the blood for the production of prostate specific antigens (PSA). A transrectal ultrasound examination is made to provide a highly accurate check of the structure and functional condition of the pelvic organs, enabling us to catch the most serious illnesses at the very earliest stage.

Latent or partly treated infections do much harm to the body and may lead to cardiovascular illness or erectile dysfunction. For this reason the ‘Men over 40’ program contains a whole range of laboratory tests which are designed to reveal active or ‘carrier’ infections.

The diagnostic program ‘Men over 40’ is based on an optimal algorithm of modern discoveries of pathological change in a man’s body. All the tests are done simultaneously when the client needs to attend the clinic for about three hours. Analysis of the diagnostic information received then serves as the basis for the establishment of an effective program of treatment to correct all the problems which have been found.

Special Tests included in this Diagnostic Program

  • Hormonal Tests; Quantitative analysis of the functional health of the kidneys, liver, levels of protein and lipid metabolism, levels of iron.
  • Transrectal ultrasound examination of the prostate gland; a highly effective method of checking the structural and functional condition of the pelvic organs, early diagnosis of disease at the earliest stage of its development.
  • Analysis of the blood for oncomarkers; checking the levels of prostate specific antigens (PSA), both general and free and their links; effective monitoring of the condition of a patient with hypertrophy of the prostate gland, screening examination of men over 40 with the aim of early diagnosis of carcinoma of the prostate.
