Senior Physician-Cardiologist
«The heart is an integrated organ. After the brain it is the most important in the body. When other organs are functioning badly it places a burden on the heart which has to compensate for the lack of support in other systems. For example: chronic inflammation in the right kidney will lead to a lowering of the microcirculation in the right leg, but the heart still has to supply the blood circulatory system in the feet by raising its own rate of function. We believe that in order to effectively help people with cardiovascular disease it is essential to determine and then treat all the main body systems which are essential to life and so lessen the burden on the heart. This is a methodolgy unique to us in international medicine and the basis on which we established our diagnostic program, ‘Heart and Vascular System».

In the last half of the last century , doctors discovered the presence of noradrenaline in the myocardia during infection. The presumed importance of the endocrine system in the development of cardiovascular disease rose rapidly. As a result we saw the introduction of medicines such as beta blockers which lower the receptors to adrenaline but do not effect the rate of production from the adrenal glands.
Our clinic is the first to design and bring into active use, a double test to measure the production of stress hormones. It is unique in that it enables us for the first time, not just to neutralise the over production of adrenaline but to stabilize the function of the adrenal glands and to stop the unregulated production of stress hormones. This is vital for such illnesses as hypertesion, ischaemic heart disease, arrythmia, arterial scelerosis, diabetes, obesity and so. For the first time in medical practice we have the ability to realistically compute the risk of complications in heart disease, or a heart attack or stroke. For more information on this see the article, «Provocation by a wise man, or how we designed a new system of diagnostics».
Cardiovascular disease can also be provoked by the presence in the body of infections. For example it has been shown that the role of the cytomegalo virus and the bacteria Chlamydia pneumoniae plays a part in the development of vascular illness, strokes and heart attacks. In our clinc we check our patients for the present of any infection. If we find one, then we work out an individual scheme of treatment to cope with it.
Within the framework of the diagnostic program, «Heart and Vascular System» we arrange for the scanning of the major blood vessels of the lower limbs to check for clots or thrombosis. We look at the blood for specific signs which can warn us of the risk of complications, such as heart attack or stroke so that we can tackle this early on.
We have had considerable success with the design of new technology to aid regeneration of blood vessels, without resorting to operations. Previously it was thought that this was the only way, by entering the vessel and inserting something which would widen it and improve the flow. We are using a completely different technology which improves the micro circulation of the blood and gently helps the vessels to work better. The integrated diagnostics, inherent in the «Heart and Vascular System» program enables the doctors of the Clinic of Moscow Institute of Cybernetic Medicine to offer effective individual help to patient with illnesses of the cardiovascular system and return them to a better quality of health as well as avoiding the development of complications. |
Special tests for the heart and vascular system
- Registration by a highly sensitive electrocardiogram — the digital analysis of an electrocardiogram in graphic mode illustrated on a computer screen - the cardiovisor, analysis of the variability of the cardiac rhythm and the appearance of «problem zones» in the myocardia.
- Echocardiography — ultrasound investigation of the heart and the vascular system, and diagnosis of problem areas, which have formed either from birth or from illness.
